Welcome to the Parish of Wisley with Pyrford
Our vision as churches in the Parish of Wisley with Pyrford is to know Jesus and to make him known. We are looking to do this over the next four years through expanding our mission and evangelism, deepening our discipleship and growing in unity. The church is not just a building contained within four walls, nor is it simply a group of people who come together once or twice a week to share services. We are called to be a family connected by God’s Holy Spirit and we are to grow in maturity as individuals as well as the body of Christ.
In prayer, discipleship, with good stewardship of our resources and seeing people released in their gifting we want to see people deepening their relationship with Jesus. We want to reach out to communities both at home and abroad, making new links with our neighbours in Pyrford and Wisley as well as our brothers and sisters overseas and share the good news that God cares and is real and active in our lives today.
There are three church buildings making up the parish - two in Pyrford, the Church of the Good Shepherd and St Nicholas' Church, and Wisley Church in the neighbouring village of Wisley. A wide variety of worship and music is offered at the three churches, and new styles are being explored. Both St Nicholas' and Wisley offer more traditional services, as befit churches of their age and history.
We hope that you will excited by and part of our vision.
