Engaging the wider community needs our church network to be more visible, moving away from the four walls of our church building to work proactively with different groups.
Help and support can come from a variety of sources, whether a friend, a home group member or one of the Listening and Prayer groups on a Sunday morning. The church’s pastoral assistants or members of the clergy can also lend a listening ear.
Our aim is to build a pastoral pyramid whereby all members of the church are encouraged to become providers of care, helping to refer situations which prove to be more complex.
Channelling the love and humility of Jesus Christ, we hope to expand on our existing support network by training a number of younger Pastoral Assistants and a group of pastoral care workers in the near future.
