breakthrough

This is a group just for lads in school years 7 to 13. We meet every Tuesday.

The vision (the direction of travel) for the group is to help develop the lads to be young men who are of good character, through the experience of life skills, support, and nurture. In a space where they can find their purpose and identity in who God has made them to be.

We have different sessions through out the month. We will have discussion evenings on topics relevant to you, challenge evenings, skills evenings, cooking evening, and social evenings.

We will also be looking to do a weekend residential in May.

EXP

EXP, is our mid-week moment to gather together have fun, build friendships as a community of young people in a place that creates a focus on Jesus, in an environment where people can bring their lives to scripture (what happens in your everyday life can also be found in scripture. How do we apply what we read to our lives?) We all have a gift(s), and this is a space where young people can learn to pray deeply and use their gifts. We are a community that seeks God’s heart and for those that don’t know Jesus

We offer refreshments at the beginning and throughout the session, we make space before the session to simply chill and chat before moving into a time of teaching and worship. At the end of the sessions you are welcome to stay and chat.

We have an annual summer festival which is 5 day event. This is the highlight of our year. Worshipping and praying with thousands of other young people. It is a great space for those who have a faith to learn and deepen their faith as well as for those who don’t have a faith and are wanting to know what having a faith is all about.

Youth Club

We run a fortnightly after school drop in session for school years 7 to 13 from 7:30pm-9:15pm.

We have, table tennis, a pool table, football, consoles, toasty machine, comfy sofas, a tuck shop, and much more.

A great place to bring friends, meet up with friends who go to a different school or just a place to chill out after a long week at school. Only 50p entrance.

Girls group

Once a month we create a space for just the girls to come and be. Over food we will talk about life and what is going on with for you or the world around you. Whilst making new friends as well as deepening the friendships you already have.

This is held at one of the female youth leaders houses (so comfy sofas are a guarantee) for a more natural and cosy feel.

Sunday Youth

On Sunday Mornings at the Church of the Good Shepherd 10am, we meet in the Lantern Room after beginning in the church service. School years 6 and above.
