Our Rector is a trustee for this local charity and we have a number of church members who volunteer.

Woking Besom is a non-denominational Christian charity that acts as the bridge between those who want to give time, money, skills and things and those who are in need.  It’s about being Jesus’ hands and feet on earth which is how, as a church family, we can live out our faith in practical ways.

Local Community fund

The Local Community Fund ("LCF") was launched in 2013 to support the Parish Vision of the Engaging Community and Pastoral Care networks.

We offer funds to those working to make a difference in our local environs.

Helping Others

Helping Others is a service offering short term help to people in the local community. Lifts to doctors appointments, shopping trips and other help is on offer.

Waterways Chaplaincy

Tina and James from our Church regularly walk the tow paths of our Parish to offer help as needed.

Evangelism Team

We have a team who go out on the second Saturday morning of each month visiting local homes. They introduce people to what the church does and offer help or conversation as appropriate.

The Team also look to provide training throughout the year and a presence in the community to enable people to hear about Jesus.

They are also visiting Friday afternoons and have a fabulous prayer support team.

Do keep an eye on the events calendar and feel free to join them to see what it’s all about.

Pyrford C of E Aided Primary School

The parish works closely with the school situated next door. Regular services are held during term time and members of our ministry team often speak in the school. Children are involved in our Down Memory Lane services.

A volunteer team from our church go into school each Friday to lead their collective worship.  Here they do "Open the book", a national initiative Bible Stories are acted out for the children.

Their after school provision TREETOPS are also looking to welcome volunteers from church who might be able to share gifts and talents with children.

Church members go into Fullbrook Secondary School with this charity. They run a couple of successful lunch clubs on a Monday.

We are always looking at ways in which we can support this fantastic charity working with young people locally and beyond.
