Tracey Williams - Prayer Request
My name is Tracey Williams and I grew up in Pyrford with COGS , the youth group KLANN, girls group “Roots” all being a significant part of my life in the 70s and 80s!
I live and have lived in Maputo, Mozambique for the last 14 years where I am a missionary with Iris Global. I live on a residential Children’s centre – home to 175 children ages 0 – 18.
There is so much I could ask prayer for at this time – the obvious is health and safety from Coronavirus as at least 1/3rd of our children have chronic illnesses. Many of them were severely malnourished as babies and toddlers so even without chronic illness they are generally weaker. Currently Mozambique lists 39 cases – but testing is limited too!!
There are few to no medical resources (like PPC, Ventilators etc around) – and social distancing is impossible – so all in all we know without a shadow of a doubt that we are in HIS hands through whatever lies ahead!
Pray for us as a team (we are only 8 missionaries now as some left, others were on furlough and unable to return) and for our National team of staff – decreasing as we are asked to keep people at home to reduce risk. Public transport to and from work is not safe!
